Until the time comes... Zoltan Csubrilo Serbia 25' documentary 2008
The film features an old woman named Ilonka, who lives in a small village in the outskirts of Magyarkanizsa. The locals call this place ‘Mosquito Village'. The travellers of the passing railbus can see only two rows of houses and most of them stare in surprise and cannot believe that there are people who live here, far from the din of the town. It is a small world where time seems to have stopped, and I think it has stopped indeed. The village's only connection with the outside world is the railbus that passes two times a day. Ilonka has been living here for decades- keeping animals and working on her fields in order to supplement her little pension,- in this isolated community where time goes by at a snail's pace as every day is the same. Meanwhile the world goes on.

20.00 «AT THE ENDS OF THE WORLD»

Symphony of the New World Angeliki Tsotsoni U.S.A 25' short film 2009
This piece is made up of various non-contextualized characters that appear almost as interludes between different locations. I know almost nothing of these people. I met them for a few minutes during a short local road trip. These people attracted my attention, become valuable personas that I am trying to familiarize myself with, even though they were not previously important. My final work is based on real facts, human beings and documentation : The different personas I've captured with my camera had allowed themselves to be brave, insecure, angry, confused, uncertain, cunning, unpleasant, warm, petty, unfathomable, stupid, afraid: in a nutshell - typical human beings. I am trying to discover and trap deep buried aspects of their behaviour that are beyond a typical testimony. The collected visual and confessional material was not edited into a story mode. I am not intending to write a narrative. The main question of this piece is the question of narrative, which has always been a serious question for me.

Vehicles Tina Willgren Sweden 2' 21'' short film 2009
A village. A street. An ordinary summer day. Or? It is easy to get struck by a feeling of absurdity when one takes a pause, just to experience what is actually going on in front of ones eyes, anywhere close to a trafficked street. City traffic is a noisy and somehow comical auto created choreography. Uncountable vehicles in different shapes and sizes passing by in different directions. The leap to the surreal comes almost naturally. In "Vehicles" the normal movements, appearances and sounds of street traffic are remixed. The everyday car is transformed into an unidentified flying object.
