Pomacs live in the mountain scenery of Rodopi in Greece and Bulgaria. Through the pages of history, Pomacs became an object of violence with an ultimate purpose to change their language religion and physiognomy. But there is a custom, so well kept that survived through the ages. The matrimony custom is still followed in a small village in Bulgaria. One of the most interesting characteristic of this peculiar wedding ceremony is the bride's makeup. It takes numerous hours and at the end she looks like she is wearing a white mask with beads and tinsels. Through all the process she holds a mirror in her hand. She will stand outside her house, next to the groom, with her eyes closed, holding the mirror, while the entire village is watching.

The film was shot in the picturesque region of Agia Triada in Heraklion Crete in order to promote one of the most historic districts of the town. The film is a walk-around filled with memories, in the form of a dance documentary. The star is a resident of Agia Triada who wanders in the narrow alleys of the neighborhood where he grew up, recalling memories of past times, and his lost childhood love, who takes form again through his nostalgic wanderings. The film is original since it contains aspects of fiction, documentary, lyric narration and video-art. All scenes were shot outdoors and the camera places emphasis on local architecture. A collage of choreographed images brings life back to historic monuments, buildings and key locations in the neighborhood.

The separation, loneliness and institutionalization of prison life intensifies the waiting, the fears, the hopes, insecurity and neediness, emotional blackmail and dependency. A long tunnel of barriers progressively narrows and eventually blocks out the horizon for a love relationship.
